Yodel supports Mothercare's "Born to Care" campaign
The collectmyparcel.com blog also aims to keep you updated with news about our courier partners.
Recently (30th June 2011) Yodel published some news on its website (www.yodel.com) about their involvement in helping Mothercare raise money for its “Born to Care” Campaign. This Campaign aims to raise £1.75 million for the charity Save the Children.
Back in late May a group of 12 cyclists from Mothercare took part in a three day cycling event. They peddled 220 miles between Southampton and Mansfield and raised £12.5k for the “Born to Care” campaign.
Yodel supported this effort by transporting food and water supplies to help keep the cyclists going.
Yodel’s Marketing Director Adam Smith said “Yodel is already aligned with cycling events through our partnership with the Tour of Britain, so this was a natural association for us. We were delighted to be able to support Mothercare and help them to raise such a fantastic sum of money for a very worthy cause.”
Yodel went on to say that they handle over 2 million parcels a year for Mothercare and their sister company the Early Learning Centre. We think that equals a lot of happy mum’s, dad’s and babies!
We will let you know of more news from our partners TNT, DHL, Parcelforce, City Link, Palletways and of course Yodel when it happens.
