Courier companies have lots of health and safety issues to contend with. They need to keep drivers and the public safe and are responsible for risk assessing business activities and ensuring staff are properly trained to help minimize the occurrence of and prevent accidents.
Yodel recently reported that it has been awarded an Achievement Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Here’s what Jamie Stephenson, managing director of Yodel Transport Limited had to say about the award:

Yodel Transport Limited operates a large fleet of nearly 1800 trailers, 570 tractor units and has over 1500 employees. What’s more they collect, sort and distribute around 200 million parcels a year.
Yodel also report that their H&S measures have resulted in the rate of reportable three day injuries fall by more than 41% in the last year.
