Will a courier collect from my address?

September 6, 2012

Do you worry about missing the post?

Are there times that trip out to the Post Office is just too inconvenient?

Will you struggle to find the opportunity to meet the last collection time?

What if you could get your item collected from a courier from your specified address?

If that could make your life a little less stressful read on…

You see courier services exist to make your life that little bit easier. They collect your parcel from your specified address, whether that’s your home, office or somewhere else. As a result you don’t need to make the trip yourself.

Couriers offer more than just a delivery service:

  1. They save you time by collecting from your specified address.
  2. They save you money by reducing the need to drive to the Post Office or pay for parking.
  3. In addition, many courier providers offer a highly reliable service, which, in turn gives you the peace of mind, that your important parcel is going to arrive at its destination on time and in one piece.
  4. They offer choice. Depending on your delivery destination, budget and delivery time window a courier will provide a range of options allowing you to find a service that best meets your needs.

Whether you’re posting for your business, on behalf of someone else or for an ad hoc situation, a courier service makes it really easy for you. So don’t disrupt your day. Instead book a courier collection and let them come to you.

How to safely send a parcel

August 16, 2012

When you post a parcel with a courier you expect it to arrive on time, to the right destination and in one piece.

Now sometimes items do not arrive when expected. Sometimes this is the result of problems within the courier network, other times the sender has caused the issue.

To help ensure your parcel arrives safely at its destination, here are 5 top tips.

1.      Accurate labeling:

This is critical. You must address your parcel accurately and also ensure the address is legible. So if your handwriting is a little wild you could use block capitals or print out a label from your computer.

2.      Use the Postcode:

Most couriers use a complex electronic sorting system to ensure parcels are routed to the right destination. This relies on the postcode. It’s always worth including the postcode on your parcel, and if you’re unsure what it is, use Royal Mail’s postcode finder to check it http://www2.royalmail.com/postcode-finder?gear=postcode

3.      Add a contact number:

Some sender’s choose to include a contact number when they send their parcel. This can be extremely useful if a problem does emerge because the courier can contact you directly. This can be especially useful for a small business posting.

4.      Include a sender’s address:

Sender’s details are optional but again they can be invaluable if there is a problem when delivering your parcel. This works well if there is a reason your parcel can’t be delivered, it can be returned to the address you’ve written on the parcel.

5.      Package it right!

Finally always ensure your parcel is securely packaged and wrapped so it can be transported through the courier network in one piece.

Top 5 tips for hassle free parcel posting

August 7, 2012

Hand up if you hate hassle!

Messing around trying to get a job done can be annoying and eat up your time, and when time is money this can be frustrating and even stressful.

If you’ve got a parcel to post you’ll want to do it quickly and easily.

In addition, you want the peace of mind that your items are going to arrive at its destination on time and in one piece.

To help, here are five tips to make it hassle free:

  1. Pack up your parcel securely. Consider using proper packing materials for a professional job and use strong tape to keep the box securely bound.
  2. Label your parcel accurately. Use the postcode and don’t leave any ambiguity as to its destination.
  3. Consider using a courier to deliver your parcel. Instead of taking your parcel to the Post Office you can arrange for your parcel to be collected from an address that you specify. Whether that’s home or work, you can carry on with the day’s chores and tasks without having to face an interruption whilst you pop out.
  4. Book online. Instead of having to speak with someone on the phone, use the Internet to book your collection at your convenience.
  5. Use a parcel reseller or parcel-booking agent. This online service will help you get cheap parcel delivery. Instead of phoning around a number of courier services to get quotes, and then figuring out which one is cheaper, they’ll do it for you. Easy!
