On 3rd November 2011, Yodel announced plans to go international with the launch of a new worldwide delivery service called Yodel Word. Yodel has created this new distribution network by teaming up with key distribution players including KMUK Universal Solutions, bpost International (Belgium Post) as well as the international parcel arm of TNT Post.
In total four products will be launched. You can read a brief summary of them here…
1. Yodel World Mail – 14-day worldwide delivery for packages under 2kg.
2. Yodel World Pack – a traceable service for parcels up to 2kg.
3. Yodel World Parcel – full tracking for parcels up to 30kg.
4. Yodel Euro Express Home – a specialised e-commerce service for consumers providing a single flat rate fee for each destination.
The CEO of Yodel Jonathan Smith said “this move takes Yodel into a new, global market, expanding our portfolio to meet our clients’ and their customers’ demands. Yodel World allows us to provide an efficient and tailored international delivery service that utilises unrivalled delivery resources.”
